The Association for Project Management

The Association for Project Management (APM) is committed to developing and promoting project and programme management through its Five Dimensions of Professionalism.

The association is a registered charity with over 20,000 individual and 500 corporate members making it the largest professional body of its kind in Europe. As part of its strategy to raise awareness and standards in the profession, the APM has now received its Royal Charter.

The Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), Term Service Contract (TSC) and Professional Services Contract (PSC) are approved further reading from the APM Body of Knowledge 6th edition. 

The Professional Services Short Contract (PSSC) is produced in association with APM.

ECS Associates (Pty) Ltd

Formally Engineering Contract Strategies CC, ECS Associates (Pty) Ltd has been in business since 1993 providing consulting services to the engineering and construction industry. Primarily the service offering was focused on strategic advice, dispute resolution and training on the NEC. Today, the core of the business represents the belief that collaborative relationships between main contracting parties within the value chain, employees and other stakeholders, provide a necessary formula for both improved performance and transformation.

Institute for Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain

The Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate of Great Britain (ICWCI) is the professional body that supports quality construction through inspection. Using a support network of meeting centres, technical advice, publications and events, it keeps its members up to date with the ever changing construction industry.

ICWCI wholly endorses the NEC3: ECC Supervisor Accreditation, which is designed for clerks of works, construction inspectors and architectural technicians who are aspiring to, or already practicing, as a Supervisor across ECC projects.

Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management

The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) - formerly the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) - is the professional body for facilities management (FM). Founded in 1993, they promote excellence in facilities management for the benefit of practitioners, the economy and society. Supporting and representing over 14,000 members around the world, both individual FM professionals and organisations, and thousands more through qualifications and training.

NEC and IWFM recently joined forces to develop a suite of documents exclusively for the facilities management industry. NEC for FM was launched in May and has been endorsed by the Crown Commercial Service.

There is also a dedicated IWFM/NEC Users' Group which gives IWFM members a number of benefits and discounts for NEC products and services.

Pangea Professional Services (Pangea) aims to provide objective, innovative and practical solutions to organizational and project contractual /commercial challenges  and delivers on this through the benefit of a synergistic consolidation of key project disciplines, which are often fragmented and dealt with within silos in various organisations.
